Maira E. Simental, MD - Medical Director

Dr. Maira Simental joined Valley Radiotherapy Associates in 2005. Prior to her position at St. Bernardine Medical Center she was Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at La Sierra University in Riverside, and a Doctor of Medicine degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Simental completed her internship in Family Medicine at the San Bernardino County Medical Center and her residency in Therapeutic Radiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She received her board certification from the American Board of Radiology in therapeutic radiology. Dr. Simental specializes in the treatment of gynecologic, breast, lung, brain, head and neck cancers. She is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, The American College of Radiation Oncology and the California Medical Association.
